Electrician – CCTV/Data Installer
What is the best thing about working at Heath Electrical Services?
Every day is different; I enjoy the fact the job doesn’t have a set routine. We can be called out to any type of job from installing smoke alarms to installing a huge CCTV system at commercial premises. We also carry out emergency call outs, so you always have to be prepared and on the ball.
Who/what inspires you?
Anyone who has started out with nothing and made something out of themselves!
What would you do if you weren’t doing this job?
Most likely a firefighter, who doesn’t like a guy in a uniform!
What is your biggest fear?
I would like to be all macho and say nothing, but heights leave me with weak legs. When working at 15m or higher, I make sure I’m prepared.
What do you do in your spare time?
I really enjoy kicking back and relaxing with a few pints with the guys and just having a laugh.
What is your biggest achievement?
Progressing through my career and being where I am now.
What is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
Pasta – I could eat bowls and bowls!
What advice would you give your younger self?
Life’s to short to live in regret, enjoy the moment and seize the day. Carpe diem!
Tell us something that might surprise us about you?
I’m surprisingly good at hitting a cock. I love playing badminton, and we have our own games here at work.
